Council on Aging’s mission is to Provide Leadership, advocacy, critical support services and an administrative organization on behalf of older persons in Volusia county, Florida, with the purpose of assuring to them the maximum possible independence, dignity, and personal welfare.
Transitioning out of the foster care system can be a challenging time for young people, as they often face various obstacles and limited resources. The goal of Project SELF is to assist them in overcoming these challenges and providing them with the necessary resources for employment and basic needs as they embark on their journey towards independence.
Southeast Volusia Habitat for Humanity serves the communities of New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater & Oak Hill by helping residents obtain safe, decent, affordable homes through the Habitat home ownership program. Temple Beth El in Ormond Beach, founded in 1950, has long served as a vibrant center of Jewish life and community connection. The L’dor V’dor Fund, meaning “from generation to generation,” was created to honor and sustain the temple’s rich legacy for generations to come.
The HUB is an incubator for 70 artists, hosts creative events and seeks to expand arts programs to the underserved through scholarships and art instruction. This fund will provide a permanent funding stream to the HUB to support their mission to create community by fostering art, education and a broad range of creative opportunities.
The Jerry Doliner Food Bank services those in need in Volusia & Flagler Counties regardless of religion. The Social Service Council of the Jewish Federation maintains a well-stocked crisis food bank which provides emergency food to people who “fall through the cracks” of the system.

Sustain the great work of the United Way of Volusia and Flagler Counties, Inc. forever. The EDGE fund is a growing endowment whose earnings offset the operating costs of the United Way and help enable 100% of the annual campaign donations to go directly to programs for people in need.
This endowed fund established by a local family supports the Ormond Memorial Art Museum. Established after World War II, the nonprofit organization’s mission to inspiring our community through art and nature while honoring those who fought for freedom.

The organization was formed in 1976 and has gone on to save and promote some of the most significant historical sites in Ormond Beach including The Casements, Anderson-Price Memorial Building, Nathan Cobb Cottage, Indian Burial Mound, Three Chimneys Sugar Mill Ruins, and many more.

This fund was established in honor of Frances Moulthrop Gordon, a beloved local high school music teacher who dedicated over 30 years to inspiring students through her passion for the arts. Created as a retirement gift, the fund continues her legacy by awarding scholarships to local students pursuing degrees in the arts.
Through the generosity of an anonymous donor, the HELP Fund supports initiatives in Southeast Volusia County that address the needs of at-risk children by helping to break the poverty cycle for homeless and economically disadvantaged students enrolled in the public school system.

The Community Foundation United Way of Volusia and Flagler counties in partnership with Volusia county has started The Volusia Veterans Support Endowment, which is dedicated to supporting veterans by providing funding to prevent and address homelessness, combat hunger, and meet essential needs. The fund also supports the annual Veteran’s Stand Down event and invests in the professional development of Veteran Service Officers to better serve veterans facing critical challenges.
