Participation in Generation IMPACT (Innovating Modern Philanthropy and Community Transformation) requires a modest annual donation to the CF/UWVFC’s annual campaign. These young professionals meet monthly to plan social and fundraising activities and to implement the Social Innovation Fund. High school and college students, working individually or in small groups, are invited each year to submit ideas for projects to foster youth opportunity, financial security, healthy community and/or community resiliency in Volusia and Flagler counties. Students whose ideas pass an initial screening are assigned a mentor to help them develop a proposal and compete for funding to turn their ideas into reality.

This year’s process culminated on April 16, 2026 with the pitch competition at which students took the stage to pitch their proposal to grant decisionmakers and other donors.
